I'm headed to the Toronto Comic Arts Festival this weekend -- it will be my first visit to Toronto and to the festival! I'll have my own table on the first floor, and will also be signing at the Fantagraphics table from 12-1 on both Saturday and Sunday.

it's nice that annual 2012
My silent comic All In A Day's Work was included in the handsome It's Nice That Annual 2012. I'm humbled to have my work in there, alongside so many amazing artists and images. It's the first annual they've published, and I believe it is sold out now, but more info on that book and their other lovely publications can be found here. Also of special note is It's Nice That No. 7, which includes excerpts from Alexander Stewart's record label design appreciation blog, Collector Not Completist (currently dormant).

Like a Lantern at AAFF
My animation Like a Lantern that I made this past year using a Vandercook letterpress will be playing at the Ann Arbor Film Festival this Sunday. It's my first time having work shown in the festival and I am thrilled to be included. I will be at the fest, watching films nonstop this weekend. More info on the film and the festival on their site here.

i see what you say
I have some work in the exhibition I See What You Say, curated by Lark Pien and Lisa Brown and on view at the Cartoon Art Museum in SF as of today! On display will be some of the original art for pages included in Heads or Tails, and some other drawings as well. Very honored to be included in this show amongst such great company. The show opens today and runs through July 7th, and I believe the official reception will be next month, on April 28th.

chicago zine fest
I'm going to be tabling at Chicago Zine Fest today from 11-6pm with Alexander Stewart. He has a new zine / artist book, and I made a small batch of 2-sided flipbooks, which contain 2 of my moving drawings. I'll have copies of Heads or Tails and a couple other things too.

eyeworks newz
We put together this Eyeworks screening for the Society for Cinema and Media Studies conference, happening tonight. All the seats are spoken for, so just posting this here for posterity I suppose. Excited to watch all these films on 16mm!
Also, every two weeks for the next handful of months, the website Sixty Inches From Center invited us to feature an animation online and write a little bit about it. Here are the ones that have been posted thus far. More to come every two weeks!
