I was invited to illustrate a poem for the Illustrated Wallace Stevens roundtable over on The Hooded Utilitarian site. Over 20 artists were invited to choose and illustrate a Stevens poem, which will be posted incrementally on the site throughout this week. I chose to make a short watercolor animation of the poem Disillusionment of Ten O'Clock. It was just posted on the HU site today, and you can view it here (as well as on my vimeo page)!

I'm Happy, and I'm Singing

Tonight in Logan Square is the opening for the exhibition I'm Happy, and I'm Singing. I'll be showing my animation Bleedin' Heart along with different configurations of the animation frames on the walls. The space and all the work together is really fun! Info below:

the tubby gnome book
I recently found this little book that my sister Claire made for me when we were little. She drew lots of comics (The Adventures of Me and Hogwash) and illustrated booklets like this one. As an impressionable younger sibling I started doing the same, and I'm still doing so! Like all the many other illustrated books Claire made as a kid, this one is completely charming and informative, complete with Gnome Facts and artistically distressed edges!
